Sigma Omicron Pi was established by ten Asian American women at San Francisco State University in 1930. It is an Asian American sorority with 1000 members, 12 chapters in campuses on the territory of the United States.

The major goal of Sigma Omicron Pi sorority is to promote Asian culture among women. The main priorities of the sorority are friendship, leadership and unity. Sigma Omicron Pi sorority tries to help its sisters achieve great results in academic and social growth.
